August Meeting - Photoshop to Fireworks to Dreamweaver Workflow

Our August meeting will be an introduction to design workflow for web development. We'll start with Photoshop and move to Fireworks and end up in Dreamweaver. The presentation is by Adobe Certifiied Trainer Dee Sadler and should be outstanding. If you work in any part of the web design/development process you'll learn something.

Thermo - December Meeting

We'll be looking at Thermo, the new tool for building Rich Internet Applications. We'll also have time for networking, tips/tricks, video games (featuring Rock Band and Guitar Hero 3). December also marks our fall software giveaway. If you've been at meetings this fall you won't want to miss this meeting.

Adobe Developer Connection - November 8, 2007

Our next meeting is November 8th. We'll be walking through the new Developer Connection web site and looking at other resources for developers. If you've got a favorite resource bring it to the meeting (each useful resource results in a drawing entry). Building AIR Apps with Flex - September 13

September 13th well be looking at Adobe AIR and how to build applications using Flex. We'll walk through converting an existing Flex app and creating one from the ground up. The Adobe Integrated Runtime (AIR) will let you use your Flex or HTML/Javascript skills to build desktop applications.

ColdFusion 8 - August 9 UPDATED

Our next meeting will be covering ColdFusion 8 with a special presentation from Ben Forta that is available exclusively at User Group meetings. If you use ColdFusion and want more information about the next version this is a meeting you won't want to miss. This meeting will cover many of the new features in CF and provide you with insight into how ColdFusion can impact your web development.

The facility will be open at 6:00 and we'll be serving sandwiches and getting our game on with Guitar Hero, a Wii, and an Xbox 360 on a HUGE High Def screen. Ben's presentation will begin at 7:00. After the presentation we'll raffle off a copy of ColdFusion 8 ($1,299 value).

Bus Tour Started!

The onAIR Bus Tour started this morning. Catch live video, chat, and images from the bus on the onAIR web site. The first event is tomorrow in Seattle. The bus will be pulling into St. Louis on August 15th. We'll have a usergroup table at the event, so if you're planning on attending let me know.

MAX 2007

Adobe's annual develper/designer conference is Sept. 30 - Oct. 3 in Chicago. This event is always a great opportunity to connect with others in your field, to learn, and to be inspired. Adobe promises this year's event will be the best ever. From what I've heard/seen I believe it.

If you are planning on attending MAX (highly recommended) I would appreciate your mentioning my name during the registration process.

Checking that box will pop-up a text box that prompts you to enter the name of the community leader or user group manager's name.
