About Springfield AUG

We are an Adobe User Group in the Springfield/Branson area. Our meetings will focus mainly on issues related to using Adobe software for web and interactive development. Meetings will be of interest to anybody who uses Flex, Flash, Dreamweaver, Director, Fireworks, Contribute, Photoshop, After Effects, or ColdFusion and many other Adobe products.

Adobe User Groups provide a forum of support and technology to Web professionals of all levels and professions. Whether you're a designer, seasoned developer, or just starting out, Adobe User Groups strengthen community, increase networking, unveil the latest technology innovations, and reveal the techniques that turn novices into experts, and experts into gurus.

Taking July Off

We'll be taking the month of July off for a slight summer break. We'll resume meetings in August with a discussion of the Adobe Integrated Runtime prior to the On AIR Bus Tour visiting St. Louis on August 15th.

MAX 2007

Adobe's annual develper/designer conference is Sept. 30 - Oct. 3 in Chicago. This event is always a great opportunity to connect with others in your field, to learn, and to be inspired. Adobe promises this year's event will be the best ever. From what I've heard/seen I believe it.

If you are planning on attending MAX (highly recommended) I would appreciate your mentioning my name during the registration process.

On step 3 there is a box that says: "Check here if you are a member of a community or user group." Checking that box will pop-up a text box that prompts you to enter the name of the community leader or user group manager's name. Enter my first and last name "Matt Kerner" so that I can be credited with your registration. If you do this, I would also appreciate you letting me know by commenting this blog entry or sending me an e-mail.

This meeting serves two purposes: 1) it gives us a chance to get to know each other and network outside of the regular meetings and 2) we'll be discussing some upcoming meeting ideas and events.
